What is the OPP?
Launched in 2004, the Overseas Property Professional (OPP) is the only dedicated trade magazine and web site for overseas property agents, developers and associated professionals such as IFAs, FX and mortgage brokers, banks, fund managers, overseas property lawyers, media owners and PR & marketing professionals - anyone actively involved in the international homes industry.
The OPP has its own weekly emailed news summary which you can start receiving by checking the appropriate box during registration on this site.
Drawing upon a wealth of experience in both media and property, the team behind the OPP combines specialist knowledge of consumer and trade media and marketing, multi-exhibitor event organization, media buying and online publishing.

Joined: May 2010Geoff is a widely experienced publisher and editor of business-to-business publications and real-time online news and data services. He has edited eight different titles over the years (including four weeklies) and has published a dozen more. Geoff has considerable experience of running and developing face-to-face events such as awards, conferences and debates. He has a successful track record in growing and developing B2B businesses and has won PPA Editor of the Year, PPA Campaign of the Year and PPA Magazine of the Year awards amongst others. His roles leave him well versed in leading all members of the management team including editorial, advertising sales, marketing, accountancy and online and offline subscription sales. He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Xavier cemented his reputation as one of the innovators in overseas property marketing media whilst overseeing the re-launch of the Homes Overseas magazine and exhibition brand in 1997. Whilst there he changed the face of the overseas property exhibition format by conceiving and launching the annual Viva Espaňa event in 2002 and was made a board director of parent company Blendon Communications. After being promoted to managing director of Newskys.co.uk he conducted a management buy out in 2003 to fully develop the platform. In September 2004 he launched the Overseas Property Professional as the industry's only trade print magazine and in 2005 launched the industry's only business to business exhibition and conference OPP Live. Having provided ad hoc marketing services to a number of clients from 2003-5, he established RGG Ltd in January 2006 to offer a full service specialist overseas property marketing consultancy.

Andy first worked with Xavier in 2002 as, together, they took New Skys to market. Since then Andy has amassed 9 years experience in creating multi platform media solutions for overseas property companies. Roles have included Account Manager on New Skys and Homes Overseas Magazine and Exhibitions, Sales Manager at Homes Overseas, Sales Director of Homes Overseas, Sales Director for Invest In Property and, NOW, Commercial Director for The Overseas Property Professional. Prior to joining OPP, Andy worked as Sales Director for www.whathouse.co.uk.

Naomi Zammit

Naomi started in the overseas property industry in 2001 and during her career has organised over 1,000 exhibitions across the globe for international clients such as Atlas International, First Homes Worldwide and MRI Overseas Property, successfully increasing the footfall of the companies and drastically reducing their cost per lead. With extensive experience in B2C media, Naomi has spent over £15 million over the past years, proving her excellent knowledge of what works in a global environment and what doesn't.
At RGG, Naomi produces all of the B2B and B2C marketing campaigns, both in-house and for our widely recognised clients across the globe. As Marketing & Operations Manager, Naomi oversees all of OPP's marketing attributes and international partnerships within the overseas property industry.

Megan graduated with a BA Honours in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Sheffield in the summer of 2010 and joined OPP in the autumn as Marketing Assistant. Working alongside Naomi, Megan helps to produce and send out the B2B and B2C marketing campaigns, and also assists with the marketing and organisation of our annual exhibition OPPLive.

Sean began work with OPP in June 2011 as the magazine's international property reporter. He has previously written for publications including Third Sector and NUS Spotlight.
Sean studied Politics with Economics at the University of Bath before training as a journalist with PMA Media Training in 2010, where he won the Sports Journalists' Association bursary.

Hilary joined the OPP group to help launch and run our new OPP china title, produced in Mandarin Chinese from February 2012 onwards. Hilary is an English Language and Literature graduate with honours, and has extensive writing and editing experience with China’s Panmedia group. Along with editing OPP’s Mandarin content (and pursuing an Masters Degree in English linguistics in the evenings), Hilary says that she is looking forward to sharing her insights and research into the Chinese overseas property buyer with OPP’s network, both in print and in person.
